GTT Public Advisory

GTT would like to advise all road users that the East Coast Public Road within the Melanie Damishana to Haslington vicinity will be temporarily closed on Sunday 1st September, 2019.

Traffic will be diverted through Cinema Road (west) onto the Railway Embankment into Factory Road (East).

This is to facilitate a request made by China Railway First Group for the installation of underground ducts to a cable diversion. No service will be affected during this activity.

Work will commence from 8:30hr and conclude at to 17:30hrs pending favourable work conditions.

Burnham Drive - Mocha customers are advised of an outage in internet service due to vandalism of a GTT cable.

Burnham Boulevard - Mocha customers are advised of an outage in landline service due to vandalism of a GTT cable.

GTT completed works to restore service in the community on the 23rd August 2019 after a similar act of sabotage.

Unfortunately, residents are still affected as further restoration works need to be done. GTT will work to restore service as soon as is possible.

Anyone with information relating to this vandalism is asked to make contact with GTT on 0908.

Prepaid Mobile Data Disruption

Dear Valued Customer

On 8/20/2019 around 1pm we experienced a failure which resulted in the removal of the data balances for some prepaid mobile customers.

We have since identified the root cause and resolved the issue.

The data for all impacted customers is being restored this morning.

Thanks for your patience and we apologise for the inconvenience.

We would like to notify our customers in the No. 52 Village, Corentyne Berbice area that there will be a disruption in voice and data services on August 17, 2019 from 8am to 6pm.

 

This is to facilitate repairs to a damage feeder cable in the area.

 

Our technical crew will work assiduously to restore services promptly, pending favourable weather conditions.

We would like to notify our customers in the La Grant W.B.D. area – Half of Independence Street and La-Grange Public Road – that there may be a disruption in service on August 9 - 11 from 8am to 4pm daily.

With immediate effect, customers will need to use their account numbers when making payments towards GTT accounts at Bill Express, SurePay, Post Offices and Commercial Banks.

Paying with Republic Bank Visa Cards

GTT wishes to inform customers that paying bills via MyGTT using Republic Bank Visa cards is still possible.

To do so, please follow this step:

•    Call Republic Bank at 1-868-625-1200 or 1-800-271-4725 and request a temporary release of the hold status on your card.

This release lasts for 24 hours so please ensure that GTT bill payments are made before the release expires.

GTT would like to notify our customers in the Vryheid Lust, East Coast Demerara Area that there will be a disruption in Voice and Data Services on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 8:00am-2:00pm.

This is to facilitate the relocation of a 900 pairs distribution cable to expedite the East Road Project.
