Outstanding in occupational safety and health The company’s outstanding safety and health record was acknowledged recently when a certificate of award was presented to GT&T at the national Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health and the Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security annual award ceremony. The recognition of the company resulted from its satisfacting of the many criteria set by the ILO and the Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security. A Health and Safety Policy, Fire Marshall training, AIDS awareness workshops, no incapacitation and deaths from industrial accidents and the level of management that is actively responsible for safety within the organization, were some of the areas which qualified the company for the award. These were all verified by Ministry of Labour officials. The assessment was for the year 2002.
